Wide Receiver Allen Hurns, Jaguars Agree to New Contract
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns is fresh off a 1,000-yard campaign, and his team has made sure the youngster will be around for the foreseeable future. The deal is $40 million dollars for four years. The talented 6’3” and 205-pound Hurns can high-point passes as a dangerous red-zone threat and possesses solid speed that helps him beat press coverage.
Hurns is part of a dynamic young Jaguars offense. Robinson is 22 years old and tallied 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdown catches in a breakout 2015 season. He was sixth in the NFL in receiving yards and tied for first in touchdown receptions, and the pass-catching duo will help Bortles, 24, develop in the AFC South.
Bortles threw for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns in his second season. With running backs T.J. Yeldon and the newly signed Chris Ivory as rushing threats to take the pressure off the passing game, the Jaguars will look to improve on their offense, which finished a solid 14th (23.5) in the league in points per game in 2015.
